Founded in 1929, the choir has been active ever since.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"176\" data-end=\"375\">To the best of our knowledge, Kristinak\u00f6ren is Sweden\u2019s oldest women\u2019s choir still in continuous operation. Its repertoire spans both sacred and secular music, ranging from Palestrina to The Beatles.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"377\" data-end=\"622\">On a number of occasions, the choir has performed larger-scale works, including <em data-start=\"457\" data-end=\"471\">Stabat Mater<\/em> by Pergolesi, <em data-start=\"486\" data-end=\"514\">Litanies \u00e0 la Vierge Noire<\/em> by Poulenc, <em data-start=\"527\" data-end=\"549\">A Ceremony of Carols<\/em> by Benjamin Britten, and <em data-start=\"575\" data-end=\"594\">Missa Brevis in B<\/em> by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"624\" data-end=\"827\">Over the years, the choir has undertaken several concert tours.
